Creative life history Tamara Mediana was born on the 8th of March in the city of Vinnitsa, where she lives up to now. She has worked as an engineer on a plant for more than 25 years. A lot of her works have been exhibited in art museums and in the Chamber of industry, and presented at annual art exhibitions. Most of the pictures can be found in private collections in Vinnitsa, Kiev, Moscow, Lviv, Togliatti, in such countries as Lithuania, Germany, Israel (52 works), the United States of America, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Turkey and other places all over the world. Creative peculiarities Tamara Mediana has developed a unique way of embroidery and employs it in her work. She “paints” picturesque canvases with an ordinary needle. While looking at the picture you perceive depth and intensity, relievo and something inconceivable. The pictures seem to be living their own life. It takes coming up closer to realize: they are embroidered, but not with the hemstitch or cross-stitch. Tamara Mediana has invented her own technique, characterized by freedom, intrepid movement of the needle, hatchwork, colourful spots. Her style of fancywork is exclusive.
